Here's what to expect and how you'll make a difference:

In many poor areas of Tanzania, getting healthcare is tough because it's either hard to reach or too expensive. But with the Medical volunteer project, we're trying to change that. We put volunteers in medical clinics that serve people who really need help.

As a Medical volunteer, you'll work in a local clinic or hospital. You'll shadow local medical pros and help out with daily tasks. Because of local rules and language barriers, you won't be able to do everything on your own. But you'll get to see how healthcare works in a developing country and lend a hand where you can.

Your placement will depend on what experience and training you've had before. And if you're up for it, you might get to join Medical Outreach campaigns twice a week. These campaigns happen in nearby villages, bringing basic medical care to places where it's hard to find. They're set up and paid for by volunteers like you, and you can ask your Program Manager for more details.
